Stuart Wolfe to Present California Business & Professions Code Sec 17200 / Unfair Trade Practices Act Update at 2004 CMBA "Western States Legislative, Regulatory & Compliance Conference"

Stuart B. Wolfe, of Wolfe & Wyman LLP, will speak at the 2003 California Mortgage Bankers Association's Annual "Western States Legislative, Regulatory & Compliance Conference."

The October 27, 2003 conference in Newport Beach, California is presented by the CMBA's Legal Services Committee. Stuart Wolfe's presentation will focus on California legislative and ballot initiative efforts to reform the state Unfair Trade Practices Act (Bus, & Prof. C. sec. 17200).

The presentation will also provide a comprehensive report on California litigation developments impacting 17200 as well as a review of recent 17200 challenges to specific mortgage banking practices. Joining Stuart Wolfe as a co-panalest will be William L. Stern, a member of Severson & Werson and author of “Business & Professions Code Section 17200 Practice” (TRG Press 2003).
